COURSE OBJECTIVES

As an IATA accredited and endorsed school, SAAA Cargo Services Pte Ltd has been conducting courses for the past decade, and more. Amongst other courses conducted in her many years of service excellence in training, the DGR Initial Course covers and emphasizes safety in the transport of Dangerous Goods by air.

  • To explain Shippers’ & Airline Operators’ responsibilities
  • To locate and extract information from IATA’s DGR Manual
  • To apply the regulations to loading, storage, segregation, inspection & emergency procedures
  • To identify Dangerous Goods that are

(a) Forbidden for air transport
(b) Permitted as cargo under the DG Regulations
(c) Excepted from the DG Regulations

  • Identify State & Operator variations

Cargo Agents/Staff, Airline Staff, Freight Officers, Ground Handling Staff, Shippers/ Packers, Safety Mgrs, Export/Station Mgrs, Security Officers, Sales Execs, Operational Staff

 

ACCREDITATION & EXAMINATION

Our course syllabus meets the requirements of the current ICAO Annex 18, the Technical Instructions as well as CAAS. All participants are required to sit for a proficiency examination endorsed by IATA, Montreal.

A Certificate of Achievement is awarded to participants obtaining a grade of 80% or higher on the examination. A special distinction is awarded to participants obtaining a grade of 90% or higher.

Before 1 SEP 2017 – Member : $600.00 Non Member : $700.00 (Price exclusive 7% GST)

W.E.F 1 SEP 2017 – Member : $800.00 Non Member : $1,000.00 (Price exclusive 7% GST)

ADDITIONAL NOTES

Class: 9am – 6.30pm

Please submit the SDF Training Grant application through the online WDA SkillsConnect platform (www.skillsconnect.gov.sg), if the participant(s) is eligible for funding. Upon completion of the course, company may proceed to submit the Claim through the same platform in order for the Training Grant to be credited into company’s account.

Withdrawal And Refund Of Fees

Applicants who have been accepted into a course and subsequently decide to withdraw from the course are required to serve notice in writing to SAAA Cargo Services Pte Ltd through their respective companies.

Upon receipt of the notice, SAAA Cargo Services Pte Ltd may refund part of the course fee as tabulated below:

The DGR Certificate is valid for two years. After which participants are required to sign up for the Dangerous Goods Regulations (Refresher) Course for the latest updates / re-certification.
