COURSE OBJECTIVES

Persons holding the IATA-FIATA Cargo Introductory Diploma are considered qualified under the terms of the IATA Resolutions applicable to IATA's accreditation of Cargo Agents.

To assist participants in providing accurate advice to clients
To educate participants in making appropriate arrangements and reservations for international air cargo shipments
Accurate calculation of rates and charges for general cargo and cargo that qualify for specific commodity and class rates
To teach participants how to complete airway bills in accordance with the applicable IATA rules and procedures
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Traffic and operations staff of international air cargo, Sales and marketing staff of cargo agents and consolidators, Sales, reservations and acceptance staff of airlines, airport handling and surface transportation companies
ACCREDITATION & EXAMINATION
Exam period for the March 2009 course is in April 2009. Exam period for the Sept 2009 course is in Oct 2009.The Diploma Examination consists of two papers:Paper 1 - Routing selection and general knowledge Paper 2 - Rating calculations and airway bill comp
