UT-WAYS FREIGHT SERVICES PTE LTD (UT-WAYS) was established on 10th August 1989 by a team of Singaporeans, which makes it a 100% made-in-Singapore Company.
Founded on the same month and a day after Singapore’s National Day, UT-WAYS seeks to embody the same vibrant spirit as those of the city state by providing service-oriented, efficient, and reliable but yet competitively-priced logistics solutions for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) by land, sea and air from Singapore to the rest of the world.
UT-WAYS first expanded to United States, Europe, Australia, Middle East, China and India. By 2005, it achieved an almost worldwide presence with its long-term overseas partners. UT-WAYS’s partners offer competitive pricing and are reputable companies possessing sound knowledge of the legal and cultural aspects of doing business in their home countries.
Currently, UT-WAYS operates its own warehouse facilities located within the Changi Airfreight centre free trade zone. UT-WAYS also possesses its own fleet of delivery trucks, and a team of experienced and trained staff with the technical and administrative expertise to meet the complete logistics needs of its customers.
All goods arriving in Singapore consigned to UT-WAYS will be cleared within 24 hours from the airlines ground handling agents warehouse to avoid our clients incurring high storage charges. UT-WAYS will handle break bulk in its own warehouse. Thus, clients that appoint UT-WAYS as their in-house clearing agent will be guaranteed prompt delivery within 48 hours of flight arrival.
UT-WAYS strives to strengthen its global network and service standards by active involvement in memberships to the Singapore Air Cargo Agents Association (SAAA@Singapore) and the United Affiliated Cargo Organisation (UACO) Group. It has also obtained permit as a Licensed Custom Brokerage and has strong financial resources that ensures prompt payment to all its partners and suppliers.

Business Development
UT-WAYS started by providing air, sea and land delivery services to and from Singapore to cities in the region, like Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Korea, Malaysia, and other major cities around the world. Realising the need for continuous growth, additional overseas partners that have a strong interest in developing freight and transportation between their countries and Singapore were carefully selected. Technical and administrative expertise were also developed with these overseas partners and network of partners was further extended to USA, Europe, Canada, Australia, China and India.
In 2004, UT-WAYS recognized the value of an integrated logistics solution and introduced Cargo Insurance to its existing services. This new service along with storage, packing and re-packing services has propelled UT-WAYS to a true one-stop logistics service provider in the industry. Additional value-added services of checking and repacking of airfreight shipments into UT-WAYS’ warehouse were also introduced to ensure minimum damage and pilferage of our clients’ goods.
In year 2005, UT-WAYS initiated the Household Relocation Services after observing an increase in demand for overseas relocation of household and factories.
In year 2008, UT-WAYS handled project shipments for live stage shows around the region, this includes handling the warehousing of stage props used for such events.
Subsequently, UT-WAYS also offers special rates and handling for overseas graduates, tourists that have excess and unaccompanied baggage exceeding their normal 20 kg weight during air travel. UT-WAYS has linked-up with Hotels to offers extra services for tourists that come to Singapore on shopping expeditions. This arrangement is more economical and convenient as compared to using the allowable air-passenger weight limit for goods below 100kg.
