Speakers’ Profiles

1) Glenn G. Penaranda, Commercial Counsellor, Embassy of Philipines

He is currently the Commercial Counsellor of the Philippine Trade & Investment Center (PTIC) in the Embassy of the Philippines in Singapore.

He represents the Department of Trade & Industry (DTI) and leads the promotion of Philippine exports to and foreign investments from Singapore and Brunei.

Glenn also acts as ASEAN Team Leader working with PTIC-Indonesia, PTIC-Malaysia and PTIC- Thailand.

His previous postings were in Paris, Kuala Lumpur and Chicago.

He was the Coordinating Officer of the DTI-Foreign Trade Service Corps in September 2011 – May 2012 and in March 2004 – June 2005, coordinating the export and investment promotion activities of 31 PTICs in 23 countries. The PTIC is the frontline of the DTI-FTSC in major export markets and investment source countries. Glenn graduated from the School of Economics,

Glenn graduated from the School of Economics, University of the Philippines-Diliman with a degree in B.S. Business Economics in 1982.
